MSI 1603 - Output log

keep having issues with pushing flash from package library - the lovely 1603's keep happening.  Sometimes however the deployment works.  Running Landesk and have the ADMIN$ folder %WINDIR%\AdminArsenal\ set as exclusion in A/V realtime protection however in the PDQ output error log I see this:

-------------MSI (s) (40:20) [12:56:04:457]: Product: Adobe Flash Player 22 ActiveX -- Error 1335.The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

Error 1335.The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.--------------------

I don't see any logging in LD that show's it screwing with the adobe msi deployment but dosen't this appear to be the case from the error above?

  • When I've encountered this error with Adobe Flash I ran the Uninstall ALT package for Adobe Flash, and after that finished, I could run the Install with no problem.

  • Just tried that and still having mixed results.  Sometimes client deployments fail on the first deployment (adobe flash), then redeploying immediately will cause it to work.  Other times I have to redeploy 4-5 times and it gets the file copied and it continues to step 3.  Not sure why back to back deploying eventually gets it done, annoying!  Looking at all of my fw and hips stuff now, surely I'm just missing something.
