generic credentials in credential manager

Does anyone happen to know how to disable the Generic Cred in Credential Manger?  I've already done the GPO (Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication) but this doesn't block out the Generic Creds.   Root cause for this is Employees hitting Remember Password in Outlook and when they update their passwords it causes lock outs because the stored password is the old one still.
