Bypass file-security popups?

I'm running a simple deploy of an .exe file.  All that is needed to deploy to my own system through PDQ is a /S parameter.  Keep in mind I am the local admin of that machine and also a domain admin.  However, whenever I try to deploy to another system (that isn't an admin on their local PC or on domain), it says it went successfully, however if I go on the system nothing was installed.  I do know if I manually run the .exe on the troublesome system I get a popup window about "open file-security warning, publisher could not be verified" .  If I click OK, I can continue the installation just fine.

My inkling is that when I try to deploy through PDQ it is hitting that 'publisher could not be verified window' and doesn't install.  Is there a parameter that will bypass this or somehow automatically select 'OK'?

Thanks

    1. What is the application you are trying to deploy?
    2. Why are you deploying with a user that is not an admin on the target machine?

  • Impact concussion testing (impacttest.com). I need to deploy to multiple student systems (students not admin)

  • If you deploy as an admin does the software not work for students? Generally you install software as an admin.

  • Software works fine.  I can remote into a student system and manually go to the shared server hosting the .exe file I am trying to deploy and execute it.  The only hindrance is the "open file-security warning, publisher could not be verified" window.  Once I click 'OK', it proceeds through normal installation.  If worse comes to worse I can install it this way, but it would save me a lot of time if I could just push it through PDQ to the multiple systems.

  • It's unusual to get the "open file-security warning, publisher could not be verified" warning. Are you installing the latest version of the program? If so, I recommend contacting the company's tech support because that should not be happening.
