Displaylink
A widely used reference driver / software for docking stations and port replicators.
There is a special corporate deployment MSI file, one for Win 7 to Win10 build 10586 and one for Win 10 > build 10586
http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/corporate/logged-in
msiexec.exe /i "DisplayLink_Win7-10TH2.msi" ALLUSERS=1 /qn /norestart /log output.log /norestart /passive /quiet
I deploy them with the following conditions:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\
Value; CurrentBuildNumber
Number < 14393
And the RS1 version:
msiexec.exe /i "DisplayLink_Win10RS1.msi" ALLUSERS=1 /qn /norestart /log output.log /norestart /passive /quiet
With condition:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\
Value; CurrentBuildNumber
Number > 14393

@Rudy,
Sorry for the delay. We had to make some small changes to the agreement and getting everything signed on our end. Not too much longer.
I'm waiting to hear back from their legal team to make sure we can use the MSI.
UPDATE 12/1
I was finally contacted by Displaylink. They want to write up an agreement so we can distribute their software.
Added to the list. We'll let you know. Thanks!
Nate
DisplayLink requires that you are a system admin of your organization in order to acquire a login for the MSI.
I need to contact them and make sure since i will not be using this internally, but externally that we are still not breaking any licensing rules. I'll let you know when i hear back.
Good call. We could use this too.
Hey Nate,
That's great news!
6 months later, can you give us an update?
You can create a login on their site to gain access to the msi file. They also provide documentation on the exact switches/parameters you can use to deploy it. Once you fill out the form for the request you'll get an email instantly with your login details.
Hi
Was displaylink drivers never added to package Library?
Can it be added?
If no, why not?
Thanks,
