Logged on State

I'm looking to setup a PDQ package to run nightly around 2AM to reboot everyone's PC that is not currently logged on and in a pending reboot state. Because our users often just lock their computer when they leave for the day rather than logging off, I want to make sure I understand the complete process before I start testing and pushing this out to the entire company.

Does the PDQ step "Only run if no user is logged on" check the logged in state at the time of deployment, or is it dependent on the PDQ inventory last scan time?

Any other general recommendations with a package such as this?

  • It is evaluated at the time that the package is run. I am running a package that detects if the user is logged on and it reliably detects each time I run it whether or not a user is currently logged in.

  • Awesome! Thanks for the reply Gary.
