PDQ OS Deployment

Hello,

I was wondering if PDQ had an OS Deployment option for desktops and laptops. We are currently using LANDesk for our OS Deployment tool (along with other tools), and it allows us to image new desktops and laptops with a pre-configured Windows 7,8, or 10 image. It is controlled through a PXE service, where when you first boot the computer up, you press F12, do a network boot, and then the LANDesk provisioning screen comes up. You then pick your OS, and then it starts building the image on the laptop. Is this something PDQ has, or plans to implement in the future? I understand there are other OS deployment tools, such as WDT, but I was wondering if PDQ had a plan to do OS deployment.

Thank you.

  • Think WDT is a mix up of WDS and MDT :) - I'm using both to deploy OS, and PDQ Deploy to heartbeat sense the OU where newly deployed computers get created. Its a bit clunky, where rebuilds don't always start pushing out the deployment without being 'prodded'.
