Devices are not being resolved by name

Hi PDQ :)

We have a little problem with our Inventory & PDQ which might be coming of the DNS setup.

As of now, the subnet is being handled by 2 DNS & DHCP servers (each server doing 2 jobs). Both servers serve different scope of the entire subnet (for DHCP). Some IP addresses are obviously excluded.

Clients are laptops, connecting both via wire and wifi.

Issue: DNS does not resolve both IP addresses but only one that was "first assigned" to the device, therefore PDQ does not recognize machines live on the Network, but dead on the first assigned IP. So let's say this - I am using a laptop and it gets ip:

* 10.104 for the wifi

*10.103 for the wire

Once wifi is disconnected or in any way disrupted that computer won't be available via name resolve. So this is a big deal obviously for the deployments etc.

FYI Under preferences -> network I checked "Test multiple Addresses in Name Resolution" & Ping before scanning

What would be the best way to take care of it? Can we force DNS to look for every IP assigned to this name?

I am more than happy to answer questions.

Regards
