Using PDQ Deploy alongside WSUS

Doing research into an issue I'm having on my WSUS server where the WSUS services keep bombing out every few days.  We can't find a common denominator but I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with a server housing both PDQ Deploy and WSUS as I can't seem to find a straight answer in the existing PDQ documentation as to whether both applications are trying to access the same service.

  • Hi,

I was wondering if community found a solution for his issue, because we are having the same issue I think.

I had a server with WSUS and PDQ installed and WSUS was taking all the bandwidth. so I installed PDQ on another server for a month and I just shutdown the first server. Now I tried to install WSUS again on the new server (windows server 2016) and for some reason the server send a lot of data on the port 445(SMB) to our computer on the network. Even if I stop WSUS service the issue remain, so that is why I think it maybe related to PDQ. I don't know if it help, but I captured packet with wireshark and I can see the transmission is between port 445 and 64400
