Adobe Reader Active x Files keep disappearing.

When patching to Reader .20038 we are getting calls that users are not able to open a .pdf within IE11. After researching I noticed 2 things are happening. The files located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX are gone. Also the Reader link under all programs is missing. However you can still open .pdf outside of IE11 just fine.You can even open reader if you map to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\acrord32.exe. So reader is installed just the link to reader is gone and the .dll files are missing. Doesn't matter 32 bit vs 64 bit. Nothing is in the event log. We have combed through gpresult. Not sure what removes those files. They are there after patch. but within a few days our Desk starts getting calls. Anyone seen this before? We have the same thing happen if we do a full install also. So package doesn't seem to matter.?
