Targets in Schedule

This is a question/feature request. The ability to exclude targets that may be pointed at would be amazing. Example, I have a schedule pointed at computers with old versions of Chrome to update to the newest after testing. The problem is that several of our computers are laptops/windows tablets that are only randomly on the network. The ability to exclude them from the schedule that sends it out on a schedule would be awesome so I could create another one that only does it when a heartbeat is read.

I'm sure I can create a different collection with computers from a specific OU and have that be on a different schedule, but this seems like it would be more convenient.

  • Hiya!

Mind if I ask why you wouldn't just have them included in the single schedule with a time trigger and a heartbeat trigger. The off-network machines will simply fail during the time trigger but will run on the heartbeat trigger when the machine is back on the network. Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree, but maybe I am missing something 😃

  • That is how I have it, and now that I think about it what I requested won't resolve my issue anyway because it seems to be an issue with DHCP and PDQ thinking computers are online when it's actually a different machine with the same IP.
