Collection filter for computer name alias

Since the introduction of Windows Server 2008, administrators have been able to assign computer name aliases (see link https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/askpfeplat/2017/06/19/using-computer-name-aliases-in-place-of-dns-cname-records/).

These aliases get published in Active Directory and that's where the problem arises. Within PDQ Inventory, you'll get duplicated entries for aliased machines under all of their different names: in one case, we have a SQL Server cluster of 2 virtual machines that have 12 distinct AD entries between them. That really messes up your collections!

Because they're in AD you'll get some information, but my scans of them usually fail with this error:

Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again

Unfortunately, there are other reasons to get that scan status so I don't feel confident just looking for that.

I can use computer name filtering to include/exclude those that I know about, but there may be others I don't and I'd like my collections to be automated if possible.

So, can I identify all computer aliases in PDQ Inventory without changing our computer naming convention or adding something to the AD path or computer description?
