PDQ and an Direct Access connection

Not too sure how or if we can actually do it but can we run a scan using inventory on a Computer which had IPv6 disabled? We are getting ready to move forward on using direct access and would like to verify that IPv6 has been enabled the computers as Admins before me disabled it for some weird reason.

Also, Can we deploy software/collect inventory status well a computer is on a direct access connection?

  • To use the inventory with machines on Direct Access you will need to deploy the agent.

That's not entirely true. If you correctly setup "Manage Out" in your DirectAccess setup, both PDQ Deploy and Inventory can directly reach machines over their DirectAccess connections. We've been using this setup for a couple of years now.

  • So here is the update, Set the Server that hosts PDQ as an management server. Deploy is not wanting to deploy because the IP Address is set to an internal one. Inventory when i set it up needed the agent before i was able to scan.
