Switching to Server Mode error

I'm testing PDQ Inventory 16 and have it installed with a trial license. After watching some videos I noticed you could switch to Server mode. After trying to switch to server mode it restarted the PDQ Inventory application and it loaded the splash screen and then an error pops up stating "The added or subtracted value results in an un-representable DateTime. Paramter name: t.

No idea what the problem is. The only option is Report this issue to PDQ Support which I have clicked a few times. The other option is Close the popup box. Starting PDQ Inventory results in the same popup. Rebooting does as not fix it either. It is not in production so I'm going to try and blow the install away and start fresh again and try switching to Server mode again.

I haven't set up any collections. The only thing setup was AD sync and all the computers that were inventoried because of the sync. Pretty bare bones so far.

Has anyone run into this problem yet? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

  • After uninstalling and rebooting then reinstalling, the error persists when PDQ Inventory is launched....

  • Hey there, did you receive a ticket number when you submitted this to support? If not, would you e-mail support@pdq.com and let us know the specific errors you're seeing in that ticket and we'll be happy to follow up there.

  • Thanks Chris but I just created a new VM and reinstalled PDQ. During the install I chose Central Server rather than switching to it from Console Mode. So far it has been running fine. Still not sure what the issue was when switching before.

    Thanks
