Connecting to PDQ Inventory database with Power BI?
Jonas Andresen
Is there a way to connect to the PDQ Inventory database with Power BI?
I'd love to make dashboards based on the information PDQ has. It would make pretty reports for non-it managers over their users computers.

You need to install an SQLite ODBC driver (look here: http://www.ch-werner.de/sqliteodbc) on your PDQ server. Then "Get Data" - "ODBC" and enter "database=Database-Location\Database.db" as connection string. This works at least for the PowerBI Desktop.
All PDQ data is stored in the database's.
C:\ProgramData\Admin Arsenal\PDQ Deploy\Database.db
C:\ProgramData\Admin Arsenal\PDQ Inventory\Database.db
Hi,
Thanks for the instructions! I have successfully connected to the database and started to explore the possibility to create PowerBI reports.
A question that popped in my head, is there some sort of repository out there where I can find reports already made by the community or anyone that have already explored this possibility and that is willing to share some report?
Hi all,
I'm following these directions but running into an "out of memory" error. Has anyone seen this before or know of a solution?
If relevant, I'm trying to connect a Power Bi instance on my local machine to the PDQ database on a virtual machine. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.
thanks,
Bryon S.
Hi,
Does the PDQ database have to be on the local machine I'm utilizing PowerBI Desktop on, or can I reference it from a network location? Someone else manages the pushes with PDQ and I'd like to track the progress in BI.
