Problems with PDQ Inventory + Deploy Since Crash

I was using PDQ inventory Trial and had just setup File scanning and had launched my profile when the program crashed trying to handle a fair amount of computers (About 135). The file search for reference checks for a D:\WindowsImageBackup*\MediaID or E:\WindowsImageBackup*\MediaID

I started it back up, it said the service was dead, I fired that back up and tried to continue. Without fail, every computer it tried to scan got stuck on connecting. I gave most computers 15 minutes and would abort, and worked my way through the entire list of computers and each and every one got stuck on connecting for 15+ minutes. After this event, PDQ Deploy also started to act weird. I lost the ability to deploy known working programs to known ok stations, once again everything gets stuck on connecting. I thought it was the server so I powercycled, Issue persisted. Then I thought maybe Inventory's Database was messed up, so I killed it completely. Restarted from scratch. It worked for about one scan then the Issue persisted. I took a small sample of the Win7 computers that it was stuck on and rebooted those, issue persists.

I don't know how to move on. I really want this--I effectively had the boss's sign off on at least deploy and hopefully inventory at the end of our trial, but I can't justify buying the software if we can't get it working again!
