PDQ Deploy is not available in PDQ Inventory

This happened after upgrade. Versions are: Inventory 16.5.0.0 Enterprise Mode Deploy 17.1.0.0 Enterprise Mode

Icon is greyed out with a padlock

Console user and service user are the same.

Set service to Local system then reset back.

Both applications are installed on the same Windows 2012 R2 server.

  • Check to see if both products are running under "Server Mode" or (Local Mode).

    If they are not running the same "mode", they will not talk to each other

  • Both are running in "Local Mode". Tried putting them in "Server Mode" but no luck there, so changed back to "Local Mode"

  • We're having the exact same problem here after upgrading PDQ Inventory from v16 to v16.5. Both Inventory and Deploy are running as Windows Services. The integration has been working flawlessly up until now, so it's clearly a new bug introduced with PDQ Inventory Release 5. Inventory -> Options -> Preferences -> PDQ Deploy states "PDQ Deploy is required", so it's probably looking in the wrong place now.

  • Correct. It is a known bug in 16.5.0.0 that is fixed in the Customer Builds.
