Mozilla Firefox 66.x (German)
Hi,
Since Mozilla Firefox 65 PDQ use a MSI file for deployment. The default language setting for this auto deployment package is English. For our environment we need to change the default language to German.
How can we do this? Do we have to change the transform file?
Thank you in Advance.
Best regards, Andreas

Use the German Exe from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
The PDQ auto update package just uses the EXE with an ini file for configuration, you can further customize by copying over the cfg file for Firefox or through the admin pack file for group policy
Hi Sean
Thank you for your answer.
That's exactly what we have done until now. But the new auto update package use a MSI installer:
PDQ KB: PDQ-Starting with 65.0, this package now uses an MSI-based installer and MST transform. For more information: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-customization-msi-installers
https://support.pdq.com/packages/4352-mozilla-firefox-6602
As mentioned on the support site of Mozilla: To install Firefox MSI in a different language, please replace the string after lang= with the language code you need.
But I cannot find the language setting in the transform file. Can I simply add this parameter to the msi command? If yes, it is not possible to edit an Auto Deployment package in PDQ Deploy. Do we lose the possibility of Auto Upgrade Deployments for Firefox?
Best regards, Andreas
I have submitted a ticket. Best regards, Andreas
Go for Firefox ESR, its better to use this version in a productive environment and it's still a .exe and not a .msi

I have created a little guide here to always have the latest Firefox ESR version in the repository.
