Application Counts in PDQ Inventory

Greetings, The built in "Application Counts" report gives me almost exactly what I want. Ideally I'd like to be able to expose this count to another monitoring application (PRTG), so I get a sense of application creep over time. Also I'm trying to get this number under control in our environment. So the question: Is there a way to expose the count to the the command line tool: pdqinventory

I want either a dynamic collection (or count) of recently installed applications - by application not computer name. I know a report can do this but I want it in a collection.
