How to create a report for "Missing the newest version of Software XY"?
hey! i'm searching for a solution for this specific topic:
we have several software products in use that can be installed multiple times on the same client. for example:
software abc version 1.0
software abc version 1.1
software abc version 1.2
software abc version 2.0
now i want a report that shows me all clients that DO have any of this versions, but DON'T have the version 2.0.
any ideas?
best regards

Give this ago (used VNC in this report for testing), adjust them to suit your software. This report shows all Applications that contain VNC in the application name, and do not Equal version 6.0.1.23971
hey! thanks for your quick reply. i have done this. but the list will get me all pc's that have a version that is "not 6.0.1". same problem as before. a client can have a version that is not "6.0.1", but has ALSO the "6.0.1" installed. so i get a long list of computers, with software below "6.0.1". but it says not "get me only (!) the computers fully without the new version".
you know what i mean?
Probably not what your chasing still but maybe it might point you in the right direction, made the below (had to use different software in the example) this shows computers that contain any 1,2,3 application versions and not version 4.
Good luck and hope it helps!
yeah, sounds right to me. but the result is the same. i still get a list of computers that already have the newest version.
If you take my second example from above and put it into collection criteria instead of the report filtering - does it still show computer VK40?
this works! thanks! 😃
Whaoo!
