Office 2019 Dynamic Collection

Hi there,

Is there a chance the guys at PDQ will create a dynamic collection or Office 2019 or am I better trying to create my own? If so - is it a case of working out the correct strings?

Cheers

Gareth

  • We already have Office 2019 collections in the Collection Library:

  • HI there @PDQ_Colby - Hmmm, it's not in mine and I've just updated to version 18.

I'll check again in the morning.

  • If you click on Collection Library, what is your "Last synced" time in the lower-left corner?

  • Hi, I can confirm that we do not have Office 2019 listed (attached screenshot) and our last sync time was 19/9/2019 at 9:00:07 enter image description here

  • Morning Gareth, from your screenshot, it would appear you are looking at custom collections, not the official PDQ Collection Library which does indeed have the Microsoft Office 2019 collection. Just double-check you're looking within the Collection Library

  • Well that makes sense. It is indeed there.

So - raises the question, why do I have another one lower down for the other Office suites?

  • You were looking at the built-in collections. Those only get updated when we release new versions of Inventory, and we tend to forget things like new versions of Office. The Collection Library is the better source of collections.

  • Hi,

I found this built-in collection as well, which only goes up to 2016/365.  Should I delete it, or ignore it?

    Thanks
