Static IP machines giving "Target computer name mismatch" DNS records look ok, where can I next look?

Hi guys, trialling out PDQ Inventory, and all of our PCs running DHCP are perfect, except for a those that have static IP addresses. I have DNS scavenging on, NSLookup gives me the same IP as PING, what would be next? The static PCs are tills in our setup, so statics are essential.
