Dynamic collection based on current application version

Hi,

Not sure if this is do-able, but i'm trying to create a collection which effectively says, group together "If an application version is lower than the current version installed". The reason for this is when our internal desktop customization package is updated, a variable doesn't need to be changed in Inventory for it to work how we want it to.

Is this possible?

Thanks

  • Yes, however for it to work with the least amount of interaction, it would need to be based on that variable. I do this for MS Office. When we are ready to install a new version, I update the Office version variable. Then the dynamic collections update automagically. Old version

    Latest version

    BONUS: not installed

  • Is the variable updated after you approve the new version form the repository?

I want to automate the entire process after new version is released the dynamic collection is updated and deployment runs on specific schedule.
