Dynamic collection based on current application version

Hi,

Not sure if this is do-able, but i'm trying to create a collection which effectively says, group together "If an application version is lower than the current version installed". The reason for this is when our internal desktop customization package is updated, a variable doesn't need to be changed in Inventory for it to work how we want it to.

Is this possible?

Yes, however for it to work with the least amount of interaction, it would need to be based on that variable. I do this for MS Office. When we are ready to install a new version, I update the Office version variable. Then the dynamic collections update automagically.

Is the variable updated after you approve the new version form the repository?

I want to automate the entire process after new version is released the dynamic collection is updated and deployment runs on specific schedule.
