Elapsed Time

Why does the elapsed time column in the deployment pane of a package count backwards when the deployment is running? Is there a way so that it will count upwards?

I could of sworn in previous versions (13-15) when I still had the free mode it counted upwards so I could see how long the deployment was taking. Ever since I got a paid license in server mode the elapsed time counts backwards.
