Validate Computer name in PDQ (Inven or Deploy) matches the target computer's name

Hello!

I have between 15,000 - 20,000 active windows computers that PDQ is managing. I have been noticing that applications that are supposed to deploy to a Teacher's laptop are actually deploying to a student device. I have narrowed this down to 2 causes. PDQ hasn't run a recent scan before deployment to correct database information, or DNS is slow. Is there any way possible to have PDQ Deploy check that the name in the database for an IP address actually matches the current name on that IP address? Am I able to pass a variable from PDQ to powershell or anything to run a check before deploying?

    Sounds like your DNS and DHCP servers are super out of sync. Have you set up dynamic DNS? Having your DHCP server/s be the owner of the client DNS entry is game changing for PDQ. We had a similar problem and after setting up dynamic DNS and forcing a scavenge we were 100%.
