Server/Client Mode connect over IP

Hello,

why isn't it possible to connect from the PDQ-Client installation to the server over ip-address?

Both systems are Microsoft Server 2016 installations in different subnets and different Domains connected over a router.

Both systems can ping each other and connect to tellnet port on the other site.

If i try to connect from PDQ Client tot PDQ Server i got a BUG-Error or "No Connection possible".

  • Sounds like authentication related issue because your server and client are not under the same domain.

I just tested using IP address to connect to my PDQ central server (under the same domain), everything worked.

  • Which version of Inventory are you using? There was a bug where Clients couldn't connect if the Server wasn't set to "Listen on all IP addresses". This is fixed in 17 Beta 4 and the latest Customer Build of 16.5.

  • Oops, you never said Inventory đŸ˜„

Deploy 17.1.0.0 Clients should be able to connect across domains. I suggest contacting support@pdq.com.
