Still got "Computer unreachable or offline" or "Target computer name mismatch", what to do ?

Hi!

Still got problem with these error message. Not all computers only a few. Have follow every PDQ guide about healthy DNS, scavering etc.

I can ping the affected computer both on ip and computer name from the PDQ server, and the affected computer can ping PDQ server without a problem. DNS looks ok when I look at the affected computer DNS record. Correct ip and name. Have run ipconfig /flushdns

Tried to run "Remote repair" from PDQ, shows 4 red crosses.

What else to do ?

Edit. One of the affected computers shows no scan status error now, so four hours ago it shows "Target computer name mismatch", now is fine. Strange, self reparing or what ? =)

Are you using the agent? If so, have you tried a re-install?

So the agent could be the problem? I have agent on almost every laptop, but not installed on desktops. I can try to reinstall and see if it helps.

Still problem, some of the affected computer didn`t had the agent installed.

If DNS is not the issue, then it's likely that the problem resides with the credentials PDQ is using. Verify the credentials (for the background service) have administrator rights on your machines.
