Force a deployment?

How can I force a deployment to run right away that is in the que?

I have some deployments that run for 24+ hours and if I want to push a small deployment I have to stop the larger one to get the smaller one in the que to run.

  • Hi Robert, currently that functionality is not possible. What sort of deployments are you running that long if you don't mind?

You may also want to adjust your deployments settings under Performance by lowering the number of concurrent targets per deployment and upping your total concurrent targets.

  • Most of our deployments are for a group of 25,000+ workstations and we have multiple deployments running at the same time. Since we only allow three deployments to 50 workstations at a time some of the larger (file copy wise) deployment's take 24+ hours.

I'd rather not run more than three deployments at a time. I'd just like to be able to force a smaller deployment to run and not have to change the deployment options to allow a forth deployment every time I want to run a smaller (needed right now) deployment.

If this "force" deployment option can be added as an option in the future that would be great.
