Deployment thread locked up and was terminated

Hey there, I have around 40 field laptops with the most current up to date agent (18.1.0.0) installed on their machines. I have multiple custom packages that keep trying to deploy to them.. and they will hang where the status of the deployment says "Waiting for Agent" for exactly 1 hour then they Fail with the error "Deployment thread locked up and was terminated". I was under the impression custom packages won't install to PC's off our network even if the agent is installed, so i'm not sure whats going on. The trucks could be coming back to the office on lunch and maybe it's briefly connecting to our WiFi that is on our network. I'm not sure.

I can't figure out why this keeps happening all day, every day, to multiple PC's.

This sounds like the likely culprit to me. If a deployment starts, but the target goes offline before the deployment finishes, you can get that error. You can check the Agent (BETA) page of the Computer window to see if machines are briefly showing as Internal.

Also, the Agent is now End of Life. We recommend uninstalling it at your earliest convenience. https://www.pdq.com/blog/pdq-agent-status-update/
