DCH Driver detection

I have a few new Dell computers that require the DCH driver with Nvidia Quadro P4000 card. I was wondering the best way (if possible) to determine if the computer I am deploying to requires or is DCH capable.

  • Paul,

Admittedly I am not very knowledgeable about the DCH driver, but according to this article from NVIDIA Support, the DCH driver is supported on any machine running windows 10 x64 version 1803 OS Build 17134 or later: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4777/~/nvidia-dch%2Fstandard-display-drivers-for-windows-10-faq

If that is the case, you could just do a filter on OS version and search for greater than or equal to version 10.0.17134 or SP / Release greater than or equal to 1803.

As far as determining if the machine has an NVIDIA Quadro P4000 card, you can do that with a simple set of filters on the Hardware table, like this:

I tested with this and it picked up the one and only machine I have in my environment with that card.

    Hope this helps.
