Scan collection for LAPS, PDQ inventory
I am attempting to create a scan collection that.is dynamic for PDQ Inventory to check for LAPS install on my school district machines. I have believe I have the DLL file for it to be (admpwd. dll)
I can't seem to figure out how to scan for this on the collection. I currently have a setting for File-DoesNotContain-admpwd. dll but it is not pulling up the computers I know for a fact have yet to have LAPS installed. Is there anyone with any experience on this one that could provide a bit of guidance?

Nate,
I think you might be overthinking this, I'm not sure why you're scanning for DLL files. Can't you just look for LAPS in the Applications table? See below, this works in my environment:
When I deploy the LAPS to a computer Client version, It doesn't show as an application on the table for that computer, but it does install the password change to the computer. I am running the report as you showed but the list returned to me includes computers I know I have installed the password solution on.
Nate,
How are you deploying LAPS? In my environment every machine shows LAPS in the applications if the client is installed and I have to scan for the "C:\Program Files\LAPS\AdmPwd.UI.exe" file in order to determine if the LAPS Console is installed, so I am seeing the inverse of your behavior in my environment.
Also, it could be that you need to modify the Files & Directories scanner in your standard scan profile to add the pattern "C:\Program Files\LAPS\**\". You'll then have to re-scan all your machines with the Standard profile. I had to do that in order to be able to detect the LAPS console.
