Scan seems to gather information but does not save anything or updates successful scan date

Hi everyone, 

so for a few days now PDQ Inventory seems to scan machines successfully - it goes through the steps of gathering data, applications, group memberships and so forth. Then it jumps to saving... but the info does not get updated. 

Applications I installed are not shown and the successful scan date does not get updated. When I look at the scans on the machine I can see several scans where I don't have a successful scan date either scheduled nor the ones I trigger manually. I know for sure the machine is powered on and the scan does not throw any errors. This happens for lots of machines actually. 

I can't see any event log entries that would point to a corrupt database or anything. 

Anyone got any hints?
