Depoloyment of few Autodesk product

Hi,

I use to deploy all of my Autodesk products&patches via PDQ Deploy. Sometimes i have to install a few product at once. I have tried two different ways to achieve that.

1. Creating deployment package with nested packages in particular steps.

This method doesn't work as intended - usually installation hangs indefinitely.

2. I use the "schedule deployment" option for every package . For example:

  • Autodesk Inventor 1 PM
  • Autodesk Mechanical 2 PM
  • Autodesk Vault 3 PM
  • ....
  • Autodesk Naviswork 8 PM

It does work perfectly, but costs more work....

My questions:

1. Why does 1st method work so poorly ?

2. Is there a possibility to connect schedules between each other (new schedule starts user defined amount of time after other schedule).

    Nested packages should not cause issues like that. Make sure you're on the latest version (18.4.0.0 at the time of this post). If that doesn't help, please contact support@pdq.com.

    No, that is not currently possible.
