Deploy Windows 10 1909 Enablement Package

Has anyone been able to successfully deploy "Feature Update via Windows 10, version 1909 Enablement Package  - Applies to: Windows 10, version 1903, all editions" KB4517245 to their Windows 10 1903 computers to enable the 1909 features/upgrade?

I am having a problem with some computers doing this via my WSUS server and was hoping to be able to use Deploy but I can't find the actual cab file to use.

On your WSUS server, look it up.  "Feature update to Windows 10 version 1909 x64-based systems 2019-11 via Enablement Package". right click > File information.  That tells you which cab file it is that you are looking for. You can yoink it from there and use elsewhere.

  • Thanks Joel. That was simple. I feel kind of dumb not realizing that!

    Can PDQ Deploy handle CAB's?

  • Brian Gorsky,

Were you able to get this to work. I am attempting to do the same. I found the cab file that I needed and am using the "DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:filename.cab" command. It's running, but seems to take quite a while to complete.

  • Thank you Brian. I'm hoping the install will complete soon...so far it's been 21 minutes for a 21kb file. I may reach out to PDQ support to see if they have a solution if it doesn't complete soon.
