Heartbeat Schedule on Collections

Hi there,

I have some deployments set on a heartbeat schedule and I can see that for 90% of computers it has worked. I have kept the close date for the schedule open for now.

My question is - if a heartbeat schedule is successful, does the software keep pinging them to see if this is still the case every day? Or every time (Not sure what the poll time is for successful machines).

What is the 'proper' procedure - do people leave their schedules open ended or do they put specific lengths of time on them?

Cheers

Gareth

A Heartbeat Trigger is only triggered when a target's Online value in Inventory goes from No to Yes. I recommend having a time-based Trigger as well to catch computers that are never offline.

Inventory's Heartbeat Interval is independent of Heartbeat Triggers. Whether a target will be deployed to again depends on what you have set on the Options tab of the schedule, such as "Stop deploying to targets once they succeed".
