Admin shares - to enable or disable?

Our InfoSec team is requesting all Admin shares be disabled on workstations.

Will this have an effect on PDQ?

Environment is AD with Windows 10 clients, and Server 2012 R2 Domain Controllers, and a server running PDQ Deploy/Inventory on it.

Yes, Deploy and Inventory require access to ADMIN$. If you disable it, you'll have to create a new share on all targets and configure Deploy and Inventory to point to it. https://documentation.pdq.com/PDQDeploy/19.0.40.0/targetservice.htm
