Office 365 - exclude apps and add later

Hello,

Excellent videos & info on installing Office 365 - Thanks!

We are about to deploy 365 round the business but for various reasons I want to exclude the desktop Teams app from installing (and also Skype) via the config xml file. Initially any use of Teams will be using a browser.

If I want to later deploy the Desktop app can I do it without a full 365 re-install? If so how what do I put in the config xml file?

Thanks,

Julian

  • This tool should help you configure the xml file.

    https://config.office.com/deploymentsettings

    <Product ID="O365BusinessRetail" >
    <Language ID="en-us" />
    <ExcludeApp ID="Groove" />
    <ExcludeApp ID="Lync" />
    <ExcludeApp ID="Teams" />
    </Product>

    I assume you can deploy Teams via the app. We don't use it, so it is excluded in our config file.
