Application report drill down

Using the Application Count canned report, I added another value to show version as well so that I can see all the versions of each application and their count.   I know i can double click on a version and it will show me the entire details of the machines that have that version and i can arrow left /right to cycle through.

What i'm hoping to do is be able to double click on an application version from the report and take me to just a machine list of who has that if possible....not the entire details pane of that machine.  is that possible?

just so i can quickly drill down to see who has what version if that makes sense

  • I recommend removing the Count and using grouping instead. Right-click on a column header to access the grouping option.

  • so that sounds promising......but what i'm hoping to be able to do is using your example above expand Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to show all the various versions and then under THAT show all the desktop names that have that version if that makes sense .  I know i could do dynamic collections maybe too but hoping to be able to use reporting for quick reads

  • I believe that's what I showed above, unless I misunderstood your request. I blurred out the computer names.

  • Ahh ok makes sense. How do you have the report stricture setup? When I tried it didn't give me the machine names for some reason. I'm sure I'm just doing the refining or filtering wrong. Thank you for your help here!

  • It's the built-in Applications report, but I added Version. Once I ran the report, I grouped by Name, then Version.
