-OverrideTargetFilters Not Working

I am attempting to deploy a Webroot update on our servers.  All servers are excluded by target filters.  A few of weeks ago in the webcast I asked if there was a way to perform a one off deployments to excluded computers.  The answer given was yes but only via command line using the override target filter command.  This is not working for me.  Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

This is the command I am using: pdqdeploy Deploy -Package webroot -Targets 5218d -OverrideTargetFilters

At the command prompt it appears to work:

But when I check the progress in the GUI there is an error that target is excluded by a target filter.

  • Hmm.  Interesting quirk.

Not to set your original question aside, but why are you deploying updates to Webroot?  It is not a traditional AV in some respects, it is a self-updating client

  • Time.  Webroot will eventually update the clients but this process can take several days to a week(IDK why) where a deployment can bring everything up to speed in minutes.

  • Thank you for reporting this. I confirmed that it's broken. I am not aware of any workarounds, and it might be a while before we fix this.
