    Check the adapter properties>Security and Type of VPN is set to SSTP.  Also check Authentication is set to EAP/EAP-MSCHAPv2.

    Thanks for your quick response.  I have verified that the adapter on the client PC has those settings but the error persists.

    Is there a corresponding event log?  Is your security settings in RRAS set to EAP and MS-CHAP v2?

    I had this same error initially (or something identically worded). I was using a distribution groups as the auth group on the RAS server. Switching it to a Security Group allowed the client to connect.
