Run PDQ inventory tool sequentially on selected PC's ?

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone has a suggestion for this. I want to perform a speed test from each client PC on the network back to a server to look for PC's which may have network connectivity issues.

So I thought why not create a custom tool in PDQ inventory which runs the iperf client directly on each PC and report the results back. And this works fine but the issue is I don't want all the clients running their speed test back to the same server in parallel as that would obviously give erroneous results if 100+ PC's are all trying to test at once. ;)

So is there some way to get the custom tools in inventory to run the tool on each PC sequentially instead of in parallel?

    Hi,

    You can set your "Concurent targets per Deployment" to 1 in the performance section of PDQ Deploy Preferences

    Hi,

    Thanks for the suggestion, however that's a global setting so would affect all other concurrent deployments that were going on, also I was asking about tools in PDQ inventory not packages in PDQ deploy so that setting would not have any affect on Inventory.
