Server Cluster?

Our network spans across multiple continents, we have our PDQ server configured in the Philippines, but also have networks setup in North and Central Americas. Is it possible to setup multiple servers to share the same database instead of having to manage more than one server? Ideally, we would like to have our Philippines server and another server setup in North America. Problem we're experiencing is slow deployment speed to the Americas networks.

  • That is not currently possible. I recommend looking into DFS. https://www.pdq.com/blog/setting-up-dfs-in-your-environment/

  • What I did was setup a PDQ Deploy instance in Server mode and a different VM in Client mode.  I did the same with PDQ Inventory.  I then use DFS to replicate packages and point my repository to DFS.  I use the Pull mode on all deployment so machines will Pull the software from a DFS point on their local network.  This cuts way down on network traffic since the packages are only copied over once AND your targets pull from a local distribution point.
