Win 10 O/S Version Update Incorrect

Anyone else seeing this? I have about 300 machiens that we're updating from 2004 to 20H2 and after the install/reboot/rescan, the O/S version and SP / Release are not updating correctly.

Example

The first line is correct the 2nd line is correct, lines 3 and 4 are mis-reporting, as are most of the others, even though we've run the localized update successfully.

PDQ or Windows opportunity?

  • Think I may have found something. I was thinking that one of my junior techs 'got confused' and used the 2004 installation package, so I looked at the status on the setup.exe. The 2004, 20H2 and 21H1 all have the same setup.exe properties:

All three of the file details are the same version 10.0.19041 (technically 2004). I did a fresh download of 20H2 and 20H1 that were updated in the last month or so from the Volume Site and it remains. I'm wondering if this is the cause.......
