Dynamic Collection for Java 8

I am trying to create a dynamic collection one for 32 and one for 64 for JRE (not jdk). I saw theres package libraries in Deploy for both JDK and JRE but doesnt seem to be working variable in Inventory JUST for JRE (not one that works for us yet at least). Only way i can get JRE to work in a collection is if i specify the exact name/version that someone has (ie. Java 8 291 (64-bit). which wont help since we want to drill down more to show new/old versions). hoping i'm just doing something wrong here

Have you looked at the built-in Collection Library?

ahhh nice! thank you totally forgot about that! weird i more or less had the same settings in my custom one so wonder what i did wrong. either way thanks for the help!

The Collection Library is instrumental in keeping your apps up to date. Link an auto-download package in a schedule targeting that collection and the rest is automatic.

yup exactly what i have in place for a lot of our stuff actually! i had just been building my own collections for stuff that wasnt already in there and forgot there was a built in java one. but ya using schedules w/ autodownload to "old" version collections which has saved a ton of time!
