uninstall not possible - return code 1605

Hello,

I installed Foxit reader using PDQ Deploy

Unfortunately on many machines I had foxit reader already installed, and on those I now have "Foxit PDF Reader" version 11.0.1.49938 and "Foxit Reader" version 10.1.1.37576 installed.

When I go to computer details, right klick on the old version and select uninstall it returns the return code 1605. I understand that that means the program is not installed.

However the program is installed, and can be removed localy (add/remove programs).

Please let me know how to proceed.

The Uninstall string in Inventory is not guaranteed to work silently. I recommend using "Uninstall Foxit Reader (Enterprise)" from the Package Library. However, it will remove both versions. If you want to only remove the old version, you can try finding the silent parameter for the uninstaller: https://www.pdq.com/blog/silently-uninstall-just-about-anything/#finding-silent-uninstall-parameters
