Remove computer from Static Collection on successful deployment

I have a scheduled package in Deploy that runs on a Static Collection from Inventory.  If the deployment is successful on a computer in the Static Collection, I have been manually removing the computer from the Static Collection because it doesn't need to run again.  Is there a way in Deploy to edit the Static Collection by removing the target computer on success?

  • No, Deploy cannot edit Collections. I recommend finding a way to scan for whatever you are deploying so you can use a Dynamic Collection.

Another option is to enable "Stop deploying to targets once they succeed" on the Options tab of your Schedule. It won't remove the targets from your Collection, but it will prevent Deploy from re-deploying to them until you clear the Target History of that Schedule.

  • "Stop deploying. . ." is the ticket.  Thanks for the help.  Unfortunately this is not a scannable item, so I have to handle it with a Static Collection.

    Thanks for your help.
