"Include Entire Directory" not cleaning up copied files

There was a post concerning this about a year ago and the answer was yes, PDQ Deploy should clean up the files copied over when the Include Entire Directory is checked.

I've created a new deployment for an Autodesk Revit 2022 patch and it is leaving the copied files in the temp folder.

I checked to verify and they are being left in C:\Users\<DeployUser>\AppData\Local\Temp\download_dest\(random numbers)

Has this changed recently?

I am unable to replicate this with a test package.

Do those files get left behind if you install Revit manually?
