unable to scan local machine by FQDN

PDQ Inventory 19.3.83.0 Free Mode on Window 10 Pro 2004

PDQ Inventory was previously installed with an older version (believe 17 branch) on different machine which was able to scan local machine and new machine where PDQ Inventory is moved to and upgraded to latest version. Old machine is no longer available to check settings.

Scanning other machines in network by FQDN is not a problem, only local machine where PDQ Inventory is installed: can't scan. Gives user or pw incorrect message.

Accessing admin share of local machine from local machine in windows explorer by NetBT or ip address: working; by FQDN: not working. Gives user or pw incorrect message.
However accessing admin share of local machine from different machine in windows explorer by NetBT, ip address and FQDN: working.

Checked the following:

  • Both nslookup as ping of local machine by NetBT or FQDN, from local machine or remote machine, resolves in correct ip adress.
Only ping of local machine by NetBT gives ipv6 address instead of ipv4 address, but all Windows machines in network do that.
  • DNS server on lan, both A as PTR record for local machine is configured correctly.
  • No GPO rule set for DNS search list.

Any suggestions how to make scanning of local machine by FQDN possible?
