Capture history of attached monitors

I'm trying to get a inventory of all monitors, both desktop and portable, in my company.  Looking at a PC via Inventory, I can see what monitors are currently attached.  The issue is we have a highly mobile workforce.  Is there any way we can keep the historic data of which monitors have been attached to a PC?
