Any built-in PDQ tool to remove ghosted hardware?

Basically old printers were being pushed via GPO to a pint server and long story short new printers were installed and old printers are un installed but showing as ghosted devices in everyone's laptops... What tool in PDQ can find a Device Instance Path for a specific Display Name and then execute pnputil /remove-device "Device Instance Path"

any thoughts?

  • I'm not that familiar with removing printers like this, but it sounds like you may be able to use a PowerShell step in a PDQ Deploy package.
