Adobe Acrobat Reader Error 1731 out of sync with the client package

When updating the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 32-bit version with the latest update, I get this error on most of my clients:

MSI (s) (E0:E4) [11:40:28:454]: Product: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - Nederlands -- Error 1731. The source installation package for the product Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - Nederlands is out of sync with the client package. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'AcroRead.msi'.

Error 1731. The source installation package for the product Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - Nederlands is out of sync with the client package. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'AcroRead.msi'.
Action ended 11:40:28: InstallExecute. Return value 3.

 

Up until that error, the log files for both the successful and failed updated look very similar, nothing out of the ordinary.

 

At the end of the log:

I'm having a difficult time catching this as MSIEXEC returns exit code 0 on success or on failure like the above. I was using the Package from the library but I modified it to download it from Adobe directly, but the actions were unchanged.
